Sunday Worship Times: 10:45 & 6:15

in East Leake Village Hall

Regular Activities

Whilst our Sunday services are the focal point of our church life we have a wide range of other activities, some quite structured and formal and others informal.

Check What’s On for all the details of what is happening, when and where.

Tiny Tots Tune Time

Our Monday morning Tiny Tots Tune Time is aimed at pre-school children and their parents/carers. Find out more, including dates and times, on the Tiny Tots page.

Coffee Morning

We hold a coffee morning at East Leake Village Hall each Wednesday morning, from 10:00am to 11:30am. This is an opportunity to simply join us for a cup of coffee, free of charge. There is no formal structure to this occasion, we simply enjoy each other’s company and have a good old-fashioned natter about anything and everything. Why not join us this Wednesday?

Derbyshire House

Once a month we hold a short service at Derbyshire House residential home in East Leake.

Mid-week ministry and prayer meetings

We believe that as Christians it is important for us to spend time studying the Bible and also in praise and prayer to God. On most Thursday evenings we meet at Costock Village Hall as part of doing just that. These meetings include a time of Bible ministry, usually given by our Pastor, then we spend the remainder of the time in praise and prayer. Our prayers cover the needs of the community as well as those of our church family.

From time to time the Thursday meeting has a mission focus when we are visited by someone from one of the many Christian organisations we support. This gives us the opportunity to learn more about the work they do and to hear their latest news. Very often these meetings include a PowerPoint presentation.

On the 3rd Thursday of each month we meet together to celebrate the Lord’s Supper (often known as the Communion service). This meeting takes place in members’ homes.

Other prayer meetings take place twice a month on a Tuesday morning and once a month on a Saturday morning. These meetings all take place in the homes of church members but are open to all.

Burton Talk is a monthly informal gathering, again home based, where we simply talk over issues of the Christian faith and life. A wide-ranging discussion often grows out of a question raised by one of the group.
